CORONA, Calif. (KABC) -- Police released a sketch of a suspect who attacked a 13-year-old Corona girl who was on her way home from school on Thursday.
Authorities said the man grabbed her from behind at River Road and Cota Street and dragged her behind a business. The suspect then sexually assaulted the girl near a Dumpster.
The suspect fled the scene after the attack. The girl then ran home and told her parents about the attack.
Officers searched the area but didn't find the man, who was described as a Hispanic in his early 20s, about 5 foot 8 inches, 170 pounds, with a shaved head and an earring in his right ear. He was wearing a black shirt and black shorts at the time of the attack.
Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call Corona police at (951) 817-5837.

Im sorry this 13 year old girl was victimized at such a young age. Actually I hate to hear anyone of any age victimized, but not a kid! I hope this guy gets caught.  Mark As Violation

#16. Think about it. If this had happened to you, would you really want everyone in school to know about it. Would you want every time someone looked at you, this is what they would be thinking? She has been victimized enough, give her some privacy. It is bad enough that she will have to live with it every day. She does not need other people reminding her or treating her differently. You can give her your comfort and support right here, without knowing her name. put yourself in her place. Mark As Violation

Parolee pulls toy gun, shot by police in I.E.

YUCAIPA, Calif. (KABC) -- A parolee tried to brandish a toy gun and was shot in the leg by a San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy in Yucaipa.
Deputies received a call about a man with a gun on Friday around 10 p.m. at a mobile home park in the 34400 block of Yucaipa Boulevard.
A deputy who was checking the area spotted the man and attempted to contact him, but the suspect made a run for it.
The deputy chased the suspect, 40-year-old Bernardino Calderon, who came to a stop at a yard on the corner of Fourth Street and Avenue C.
When Calderon reached for something from his waist band, the deputy feared for his life and shot Calderon in the leg once. Calderon still managed to jump a fence, but he didn't get far. He was found hiding in a different yard on Fourth Street and was taken into custody.
He was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was treated for his gunshot wound in the leg.
Calderon was booked into a San Bernardino detention center and was being held without bail. He had an active warrant for violating parole.

VICTOR VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are searching for a registered sex offender who took off the GPS monitoring bracelet he's required to wear as a condition of parole.
Nathaniel Henry, 41, is a parolee who was last seen in Victor Valley.
Henry is a registered sex offender on parole for rape.
Authorities believe he removed the tracking device Sept. 9.
Anyone with information was asked to call the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department at (760) 552-6800.
